Dr. Barbara Jean Seidl’s farming heritage influenced her love for animals and desire to care for them. Her interest in veterinary medicine began in grade school while reading “So You Want To Be A Veterinarian” and continued throughout undergraduate college as she gained experience working with animals at riding stables, horse breeding farms, dog kennels, pet shops, dairy farms and as a technician at several veterinary hospitals.
Dr. Seidl received her B.S degree in Animal Husbandry in 1983 and her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 1988 from Michigan State University in East Lansing, Michigan. She has practice both mixed animal (large and small) and small animal medicine and surgery in Livingston county since 1988. She currently practices small animal general surgery and dentistry at Veterinary Medical Center.
Dr. Seidl enjoys being outdoors with nature, engaging in her hobbies and interests. These include caring for her three horses “Zena”, “Nike” and “Sadie”, horse-back riding, hiking with her dog “Jack”, bicycling, gardening, bird-watching and spending time with her family.
